Scope  
This standard covers seamless pipe and tube made of nickel-chromium-iron alloys (e.g., UNS N06600, N06601, N06690) for high-temperature and corrosive service. It includes mechanical properties, dimensions, and testing requirements.

    Ordering Information

    Buyers must specify:  
    - ASTM designation (B167 or B167M for metric)  
    - Alloy UNS number (e.g., N06600)  
    - Dimensions (OD, wall thickness, length)  
    - Condition (annealed, cold-worked, etc.)  
    - Test requirements (if additional to standard)  
    - Certification (if needed)

        - Yield: ≥35 ksi (240 MPa)  
        - Elongation: ≥30%

    Inspection & Testing Requirements

    - Chemical analysis (per heat/lot).  
    - Tensile testing (per lot).  
    - Hydrostatic or nondestructive testing (e.g., eddy current) for leaks/defects.  
    - Dimensions and visual inspection (surface defects, straightness).  
    - Certification: Mill test reports (MTRs) must comply with the standard.

    Surface Finish & Dimensions

    - Surfaces must be free of scale, cracks, and imperfections.  
    - Dimensional tolerances for OD, wall thickness, and length are specified.

    Certification & Marking

    - Marking: ASTM standard, alloy, heat number, size, and manufacturer’s identification.  
    - Certification: Supplier must provide compliance documentation.
